Power 90
Power 90 is an in-home boot camp that will transform your body into what you’ve always wanted it to be. You’ll be amazed at the results you get in only 90 days!
The video above is an accurate explaination of Power 90 as anything I could give you. The program comes with 6 videos: Sculpt 1/2, Sweat 1/2 and Ab Ripper 100 for the first 45 days (or so) and then Sculpt 3/4, Sweat 3/4 and Ab Ripper 200 for the last 45 days. It also comes with a transformation tracker, calendar, and an AWESOME food plan. This one actually has the best all around food plan that is easy to follow for people just starting out and won’t have you feeling completely deprived of the foods you love.
Power 90 uses 30 min cardio or strength training sessions (in the 1/2 level) to break you into exercising and is great for the beginner to intermediate exerciser. Every move is easily modified to suit all fitness (or injury) needs for anyone. You can use either dumbbells or resistance band (which is included). You also add in the very short (approx. 5 min) ab routine for an all over body workout that really will change your shape. Once you are able to keep up with Tony (and the Kids) or find that 1/2 isn’t quite the challenge it was, you move up to the 3/4 level and take your fitness up a notch with tougher moves and more intense cardio. By this point, you’re ready to add in another 10 (or so) minutes.
Power 90 also comes with one of my favorite Beachbody videos – Fat Burning Express – which was shot with some of the success stories in Hawaii with Tony. This is a fun cardio video that will get you burning calories and laughing at the same time. Quick and effective!

When I first started out with P0wer 90, I was NOT a big fan of the 1/2 Sweat. I didn’t like Tony’s cardio since I felt it was too high impact for me in certain areas. What I never thought of doing was modifying the exercises (Duh! I know…) But after doing Slim in 6 (which is non-impact) I assumed that I could just pick up any workout and do it easily. That’s not necessarily true. I was still well over 200 lbs and jumping around was not something my body (specifically my shins and ankles) were ready for. Once I modified the exercises to a low- or non-impact version, I saw wonderful results and began to enjoy the workouts more.
I really liked the strength training videos (Sculpt) and still use these. They are a great, quick strength training workout that will target the muscle to change. I found that I was very quickly moving up to 3/4 Sculpt while remaining at the 1/2 level of Sweat…that’s okay! I still had great results with Power 90 and it enabled me to continue becoming more fit in a well-rounded approach.
I REALLY liked the food plan. With P0wer 90 I was able to eat more (due to the weight training) than in Slim in 6 and the recipes were foods that my entire family enjoyed and didn’t complain about. It actually taught me how to eat for the “real” world situations we encounter.
All in all, P0wer 90 is a great program for people who haven’t been active for a while and want to get back to working out. I find that men prefer it more than women but I think that it’s because it reminds them more of high school PE classes (lots of calesthenics and no dancey moves) so there is no need for coordination. It’s a perfect “starter” program and works well for people who are not fit enough to do programs like P90X but want to get to that point.

This fitness program is a great way to break into using an
all- encompassing fitness program that includes workouts as well as nutrition guides.
Prior to doing P90, I had never been through a fitness program that also included detailed nutrition guidelines to follow. I also always considered fitness programs to be “Aerobics videos for women”. P90 changed my view on that because most of the exercise moves I recognize from my Football and Track days and it felt like the trainer, Tony Horton, was one of my old coaches.
If you are looking for a challenging fitness program that gives you a great base to build from, then I would definitely recommend P90.
